Mission Statement
The Notre Dame Engineering Projects in Community Service (EPICS) team, headed by Dr. Gregory Madey was created to combine undergraduate engineering training with service-learning experience. This semester, seven Notre Dame undergraduates have worked with the Edison Lakes Montessori Academy to improve and update the school's technology services. Projects have included:
- Diagnostic test of the Junior High and science room computers
- Increased security (Spyware, Adaware, and Firefox)
- Feasibility study for installation of a wireless router in the Junior High room
- Creation of a shared network space for Junior High Students to save their work
